A graph posted on social media purports to show a correlation between the asylum applications by male Muslim migrants in Sweden between 2000 and 2016 and the percentage of women in Sweden who are victims of sexual abuse.
According to data published by the Swedish Migration Agency, the total number of male asylum applicants between these years from all countries was only 468,378. The graph which cites the same source gives a figure of 600,000 applications but there is no data in the documentation to support this claim.
The official government website also suggests that claiming a link between immigration and an increase in crime is problematic, because socioeconomic factors are more important in explaining the trends in rising crime than ethnicity.
